Modernising social protection for greater social justice and economic cohesion: taking forward the active inclusion of people furthest from the labour market

The European Commission adopted the Communication on “Modernising social protection for greater social justice and economic cohesion: taking forward the active inclusion of people furthest from the labour market”  (COM 2007, 620 final), in which it states that it is in favour of the funding of a network of local observatories in partnership with the European networks of local authorities, service providers and NGOs, in order to monitor and to promote best practices, particularly in the context of access to quality services.
