ALAI CISL BASILICATA (Ass. Temporary workers ) ALAI CISL is a Trade Union that represents temporary workers. It co-operates with institutional bodies, with associations of volunteers and with social operators in order to support the social inclusion process. It promotes the recognition of the workers' rights and takes part to the development of the job policies. www.alai.cisl.it

Amici di Piazza Grande "Amici di Piazza Grande" is an association founded in April 1994 in Bologna. It is a self-help organization for those individuals who are in situation of social disadvantage and who put themselves into action to develop and share their abilities, to create job and income opportunities and to find out a solution to their problems, in particular to those related to the accommodation. They also try to improve the quality of the services in Bologna. The Association adopts an innovative methodology which lies in making the users themselves, protagonist of all the activities of the association: thus, the disadvantaged people supply services to themselves. The first initiative ever anticipates the creation of the association itself. It is a newspaper written, directed and spread by the homeless and published since November 1993. The newspaper represents an informative tool which highlights the existing problems and gives visibility to those subjects who have never been taken into account: this in order to stimulate the institutional actors to think to the real ways of interventions. A Mobile Service of Support for the homeless started in December 1994. It distributes food, blankets, clothes and medicines at night, as well as taking note of the homeless' needs. In 1996 the members of the association created a firm through which they started a project called "The Workshops" which  consists in gathering different kinds of stuff; moreover, a laboratory to repair bikes was created. The Social Cooperative "La Strada di Piazza Grande" was founded two years later to give a lasting job to its members in a wide range of activities. The most important project is the "Street Lawyer". It is a group of lawyers who offer a free high quality of legal support and assistance to those people in situation of poverty, to the homeless and the excluded subjects. A second Social Cooperative named "Fare Mondi" was established in 2003. It was created with the cooperation of the Association "Amici di Piazza Grande" and of the Social Cooperative "La Strada". These associations started an entrepreneurial project designed to withdraw and collect various objects and devoted to the ecological reuse of different materials. The Cultural Association of Social Promotion named "La Fraternal Compagnia di Piazza Grande" was born in the same year. It aims at promoting cultural activities in order to reinstate people in situation of poverty and deviance into  the society.  www.piazzagrande.it

CGIL Basilicata CGIL (Italian General Confederation of Work) is a general Trade Union that has a programmatic, unitary, democratic and pluriethnic nature. It promotes the free association and also a solid and collective self-care among the subordinate workers, those employed in cooperatives, in self-managed employments and in other typologies of work as well as among the unemployed people, those looking for the first job, the pensioners and the elderly. Its headquarter is in Rome and it is a member of the European Confederation of the Trade Unions. It follows the rules included in the Italian Constitution and is engaged in the construction of the European Union; it promotes the active solidarity, the non-discrimination and the peace among people. With respect to this orientation, the CGIL of the Province of Potenza joined the OASI Project by CILAP EAPN Basilicata.  www.cgilbasilicata.it
